Introducing Frames

I’ve been working on Frames for three years, so it’s a huge pleasure, and relief(!), to announce that it’s ready in the App Store. It’s free to download and use.

So, why make Frames?

I find note taking apps frustrating. I save key information and thoughts, but once written down, the thoughts seem trapped. I want to contrast and combine them with previous notes to think about the wider picture, but the page-based structure defeats me.

Frames is a notes app for thinking. In Frames, notes can be combined, connected and prioritised. Their structure evolves with your understanding and informs your point of view. Frames will help you learn and help you think clearly.

I made a short video to show you how it works:

Please do download it and try it out. I hope you find it helpful.

If it’s not quite right, and you have a moment, I’d love to hear what can be done better. Email me at
